VINX - One Man, One Voice, One Drum

International recording artist and Berklee College of Music educator, Vinx is as close as you'll find to a 21st century Renaissance Man. Known to music fans as a percussionist and vocalist, his music is classified by some as jazz, by some as world music and by others as soul.  With almost innocent passion, VINX blends the voice of an old school crooner with hypnotic Afro/Caribbean rhythms and his cutting edge audio technology.  One listen to his pop-infused original music and you know why VINX has returned the vocalist to the ranks of world-class “musician”.  It is truly a treat to witness this artist create magic in the moment with intricate layers of raw emotion.

With a style all his own, he has been compared to the likes of Nat “King” Cole and Harry Belafonte as well as Sam Cooke, Bobbie McFerrin and even Fred Flintstone.  Most often, Vinx is remembered from his opening act on Sting’s Soul Cages Tour but he has worked with so many of the most well known artists of our time that he is truly considered a "musician's musician" - from Stevie Wonder to Cassandra Wilson, Herbie Hancock to Taj Mahal, Darius Rucker to Vance Gilbert, or the Spin Doctors and Cher - No matter where or when you’ve heard him, one thing is for certain…”Vinx is the gift you give to someone that you really care about” ~ Stevie Wonder

"Like the great balladeers of the '40s and '50s, Vinx boasts a dulcet-toned croon, which can envelop a romantic rhapsody or stretch into effortless vocalese.  Add to that admirable quality an unparalleled talent for percussive invention, and an ear for moody sonic artistry and you have the unique mix that is Vinx"
