On 11 October 2025, the fourth sold-out edition of Common Ground took place, a festival featuring the very finest jazz, world, and classical music at characteristic locations in the city centre of Zwolle (The Netherlands).
More than 50 (inter)national musicians were spread across 12 venues in the historic city centre: warehouses, ships, a bookshop in a church, museums, the medieval cellar of the town hall—every iconic spot in the city was filled with music. In each of the ten routes, the audience attended four thirty-minute concerts at different locations. Which musicians appear in each route is only revealed on the evening itself. The names of the routes refer to the nicknames of well-known (jazz) musicians.
