WINTERJAZZ Köln 2026

Anniversary edition celebrating 15 years with five concert premieres.
The music festival has always focused on Cologne's vibrant, creative and diverse scene and its supra-regional networking and international collaboration. Since 2012, the curators Ulla Oster and Angelika Niescier have been delighting a loyal and growing audience with diverse programmes that reflect the heart and spirit of the city. For the anniversary they invited five national and international musicians to perform their compositions, concepts and ideas together with Cologne musicians in exclusive projects: French pianist Benoît Delbecq, saxophonist Alexandra Grimal, double bassist Alexander Morsey from North Rhine-Westphalia, German guitarist Monika Roscher and Berlin-based vocal artist Cansu Tanrıkulu.
14 bands and projects will be presented on all stages of Stadtgarten Köln and Club Zimmermanns. The entry is free.

NICA live special

The anniversary also brings an expansion to the cooperation between WINTERJAZZ Cologne and NICA artist development: the NICA live special is extending its programme to two days. On 8 and 9 January, all currently active NICA artists will present their latest projects and new music. NICA live special is primarily reserved for national and international industry professionals. Interested members of the public can reserve a limited number of tickets in advance.
