Plovdiv Jazz Fest

Plovdiv Jazz Fest is executing its 11th edition in 2025. Being established in 2015 as an heir of the jazz tradition in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, it has been developed and managed by "Blue M" LTD company over the basis of private and public funding / main public partners over the years have been - Municipality of Plovdiv, Ministry of Culture of Bulgaria, National Culture Fund of Bulgaria, Municipality Foundation 2019/, as well as corporate sponsors like the Coca Cola Company, Nestle and many other local supporters.

The management team consists of just three persons - Miroslava Katsarova - programmer and manager, Tanko Katsarov - buyer/business development manager and Demna Dimitrova - PR and ad activities. The purely new concept, new communication and the flexible form of funding have helped us reach a unique for Bulgaria jazz platform for distribution, educational activities and popularization of jazz and improvised music with artists from Bulgaria, Europe, USA, Spain, Brazil etc. The scene of Plovdiv Jazz Fest has hosted some of the most remarkable jazz artists in Bulgaria and worldwide.

Many of latter hold prestigious awards - like John Scofield, Jan Garbarek, Mike Stern, Joshua Redman, Richard Bona, Dave Holland, Joe Lovano, Elliane Elias, Dave Weckl, Joey Calderazzo, Ivo Papazov - Ibriama as well as the artists from the new generation like Avishai Cohen, Brad Mehldau, Gretchen Parlato, Antonio Sanchez, Jason Moran, Chris Potter, Taylor Eigsti, Kurt Elling, Kurt Rosenwinckel, Julian Lage, Michael League, Bill Lawrance, Till Bronner, Chico Pinheiro, Donny McCaslin, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Dorantes, Yazz Ahmed, Maria Joao, Zuco 103 and many others.
