The Gwadloup Groove association has announced the programme of its 17th Premiere Rencontre Autour du Piano, taking place between 17 and 20 June 2025 in different locations around the Guadalupe island.
In addition, it has just released 3 portraits in the series Le “Piano à bretelles 2”. This latest series, filming of which began in January 2023, took longer than the first series. The three new portraits feature 2 jazz pianists, including Pierre de Bethmann, who received the Django Reinhardt Prize, which rewards the French jazz musician of the year. The second portrait is that of the brilliant pianist Jesus Molina Acosta, originally from Colombia and a former student at the Berklee School in the United States. The third portrait is that of the pianist Mylène Alexis-Garel, who has just recorded her first CD based on the music of the Chevalier de St George.
