Hakan Basar is an acclaimed 16 yr old Turkish pianist well on his way to a fabulous career. Mike Collins, writing in London Jazz News of Basar's foreign debut, found that "there’s something of late french pianist Michel Petrucciani’s exuberance and fluidity in his playing, though with a somewhat more delicate touch. Basar's second set left no doubt of his formidable talent, one that has caught the attention of some notable figures including Ahmad Jamal."
