On Thursday, October 9th 2025, Rataplan will be the place to be for the Belgian jazz scene. Rataplan - teaming up with Jazz&mo’ (by Muziekmozaïek), VI.BE, and the City of Antwerp - hosts an engaging day for everyone involved in jazz (artists, organizers, agents, educators, policymakers, journalists, and even jazz enthusiasts).
The full program will be announced very soon, but you can expect thought-provoking talks and informal exchanges on themes like community building, representation, arts education, artistic development, and many more. Throughout the day and into the evening, attendees can also enjoy musical performances by some of Rataplan’s regular artists.

This event is organized in the context of a musical mapping of Antwerp’s jazz landscape, an initiative by Belgian jazz magazine Jazz&mo’ (by Muziekmozaïek). The upcoming fall edition of their quarterly magazine will be entirely dedicated to everything happening in the Antwerp jazz scene. It’s the perfect opportunity for participants to connect, exchange ideas, get inspired by best practices, build new alliances, and help put our musical scene on the map.
