Gothenburg Free Spirit is a new festival with collaboration at its core – across borders, genres, and geographies. For three days, Brötz, Bubblan, Utopia, and Musikens Hus in Gothenburg, Sweden, will come alive with music, conversations, and celebration – all rooted in what can happen together.
The festival presents four unique bands with musicians from Norway, Sweden, Ukraine, Spain and Austria, two jam sessions, one DJ, and a rich program of open talks and artist Q&As in collaboration with jazzahead! Bremen. For organizers and industry professionals, the conference part at Musikens Hus focuses on sustainable initiatives and the future of the music scene. International exchange takes shape through the EU project I AM ABROAD, with partners such as Taller de Músics (Barcelona) and Tumulttotal (Vienna). And last but not least – GAC celebrates 30 years! There will a festive anniversary party on the final festival night at Utopia.
