In a land of native dialects it is in this purity of an unpure race that new forms of expression are formed for timeless feelings. New colours, new tastes. And it is in this mixed landscape that such proposals as those in the music of this trio appear. This music stands at the same distant from different traditions, without mirroring them but inspired in them, developing several platforms of intersection where the musicians can express themselves freely and impregnate them with their identities.
If a Portuguese jazz existed, what would it be like? Which would its melodical outlines be? Which direction would they take? Which would be the rhythmic beat of its heart?
Should we accept that these two words/ concepts could exist without clashing, "jazz" and "Portuguese", this trio dares to compose their music in this poetic and subjective context should such form of expression be possible in portuguese or within whatever one could define(if it can be so) as its feeling.
