Art of Riga Jazz is a special series of improvisation and jazz music concerts for musically passionate listeners who appreciate high-quality artistic performance and new nuances of musical sound, as well as want to meet great and internationally recognized musicians in a more intimate atmosphere. 

This year, concerts of the improvisation and jazz music series Art of Riga Jazz will take place in the Latvian Radio 1 studio where the Bill Laurence trio will perform on November 8, the enchanting trombonist, vocalist and researcher of the possibilities of modular synthesizers from France Robinson Khouri will perform with his trio on November 15, and the great British singer Emma Smith with her band – on December 13.

On the Riga Jazz Lounge stage at the Radisson Blu Latvija hotel the great Latvian artists will perform as well – Normunds Rutulis will sing songs from the jazz gold fund in his charming voice on November 6, jazz improvisations will be offered by vibrophonist Miķelis Dzenuška on November 13, harp sounds will be infused in a jazz manner by Elizabeta Lāce on November 20, and singer Diāna Pīrāgs will offer more Latin American moods in jazz on November 27.

As part of the series, such world-class artists as Spanish singer and trombonist Rita Payés, American bassist Richard Bona and Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodriguez, Italian band XY Quartet, American guitarist Charlie Hunter and singer Lucy Woodward, American guitarist Jonathan Kreisberg, American steel guitar master Roosevelt Collier, American drummer Terry Bozzio, American trumpeter Christian Scott, British singer ALA.NI, British pianist Bill Laurance, Portuguese singer Salvador Sobral, Norwegian singer Kristin Asbjornsen, German guitarist Joscho Stephan, German pianist Ralf Schmid, Brazilian singer Paula Morelenbaum, Beninese guitarist and singer Lionel Loueke, British/Danish/Swedish trio Phronesis, a cappella group Accent and many other great musicians already performed in Riga.
