Wael Alkak is a Syrian multi-instrumentalist and composer of electronic music. His first album, «Neshama» (2012), was inspired by the revolutionary hymns that were created during the pacifist demonstration in Syria in 2011. Meanwhile, he lives in Paris and tours throughout Europe with a repertoire that is based on Levante folklore. In his live performances, Alkak blends the tradition with the modern, in that he combines synths and Bouzouki melodies into an atmospheric sound.
