Orphaned from its leader since the death of Esbjorn Svensson, the rhythm section of the famous e.s.t. trio has long believed that no pianist would have the guts or talent to pick up where fate had left off. This was to be reckoned without the iconoclastic genius of Bugge Wesseltoft who, while inscribing himself in a form of continuity, left his mark on Rymden's music by taking it in haunting rhythmic loops towards a melancholic minimalism of great elegance.
