Exploring the relationship between music and the rhythms and inflections of the spoken word, the new project by saxophonists Sylvain Rifflet and Jon Irabagon is based on a series of compositions conceived as musical translations/translations of the great political speeches of emancipation by Greta Thunberg, Olympe de Gouges and Paul Robeson. An original and rigorous way of placing the energy of rebellion at the heart of improvisation.
