Paolo Fresu has been part of Chet Baker's legacy since its inception. It is in a formula without drums, the one Chet was particularly fond of, that the Sardinian trumpet player tackles the great standards made immortal by the icon of the West Coast ( My Funny Valentine, When I Fall in Love, Everything happens to me...). In this exercise of great purity, Paolo Fresu celebrates the myth of the deceased trumpeter while extending the work with his own compositions.
