Oskar Török graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice under the guidance of Piotr Wojtasik. Oskar Török is best known in the Czech Republic as a member of the Vertigo and Sato-San To groups. Other formations with which he performs are saxophonist Luboš Soukup‘s Points Septet, the Points-Rataj Quintet and Iva Bittová’s Chikori. He is just as active on the Polish scene, where he most often plays with the Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet. He has been playing with Mazolewski since his studies at the Academy of Music in Katowice. In 2018, he also gave concerts with Leszek Możdżer and Wojtek Mazolewski's big band with special guest Zbigniew Namysłowski.

Michal Rataj studied composition and musicology in the Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain and the US. He is the author of mainly electroacoustic and instrumental music, has been performing as a sound performer in Europe and the US since 2008 and is the author of music and sound design for a large number of films and radio games across genres. In 2002, he participated in the creation of the Radio Studio of Czech Radio Vltava and founded the internet portal _rAdioCUSTICA, which focuses on mapping the current acoustic arts scene. Since 2014, he has been cooperating externally with Czech Radio. He teaches composition, music technology and film music at HAMU in Prague and NYU Prague. He often moves across genres in music projects, most recently with overlaps into improvised music and contemporary jazz.

Project MICHAL RATAJ & OSKAR TÖRÖK
The collaboration of musicians Michal Rataj and Oskar Török builds on previous projects taking place in the field between contemporary jazz and classical music, traditional musical instruments and live electronics. First it was the Points-Rataj Quintet, which developed into an electro-acoustic trio with saxophonist Luboš Soukup. The new duo of Michal Rataj and Oskar Török is trying to establish an even deeper interaction between the virtuoso wind instrument and the wide range of contemporary interactive electronics. Their musical vocabulary ranges from the electronic ambience through the names of club electronics to various positions of contemporary jazz and acoustic music.
