Deus Ex Quartet, with outstanding musicians of the local underground scene, is one of the most promising experimental Hungarian jazz outfits of the present. Founded in Budapest in 2016, Deus Ex’s music blends with surprising naturalness classical and folk music with improvisational jazz. In their pieces, we can find elements taken from drum’n’bass, contemporary jazz, Hungarian folk music, drone metal, contemporary music or bossanova, all organically integrated into the structure of their compositions.
