Avishai Cohen & Yonathan Avishai Duo

Two of Israel’s most prominent jazz musicians finally perform in a duo. The trumpeter Avishai Cohen is known for his skillful improvisation which reminds of Jazz legends such as Don Cherry, John Coltrane and Ornette Coleman. The pianist Yonathan Avishai made a name for himself with his lyrical, minimalistic playing. In Moods they play pieces from their new album «Playing The Room», also own compositions and improvisations over melodies by Duke Ellington, Abdullah Ibrahim, Milt Jackson and Stevie Wonder.
