Adam Ben Ezra

Double-bass phenomenon, multi-instrumentalist and YouTube sensation – or, to give him another name: Adam Ben Ezra. Within the broad spectrum of instruments that he can play, in addition to the double-bass there is also the violin, guitar, piano, clarinet, oud, flute and cajon – he is indeed a multi-instrumentalist in the true sense of the word. On stage, Adam Ben Ezra builds his songs slowly; groovy basslines are supplemented by stepped rhythms – yes, he can also do stepdance – followed one after the other by bowed melodies, percussive elements drummed on the bass, sometimes joined by singing and electronic effects. From the very first note Ezra's captivating performance puts a spell on the audience and in the process pushes the double-bass deservedly into the spotlight.
