The Blue Cafe Jazz

The acclaimed Blue Cafe Jazz ensemble blend their unique style of performing Tin Pan Alley jazz standards and haunting originals to suit any occasion requested . The Café Jazz ensemble is perfect for functions and traditional Burns Night Suppers.

Each performance takes the audience on an enchanting musical journey. Accompanying her are three of the best jazz improvising musicians in the UK, Terry Seabrook on piano, Steve Thompson on double bass and Alex Eberhard on drums, each capable of holding an audience spellbound. At the centre of the band are the bewitching vocals and harp playing of Magdalena Reising that evoke Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald but in the end are as individual, fresh and original as the band accompanying her.

“The ensemble performed at our Burns night Supper in January 2012. We had not considered hosting such an event before, but her combination of Jazz with traditional Scottish themes appealed to us. It was a huge success attracting a diverse audience; the blend of Scottish music, readings and song provided a wonderful entertainment, not only to the number of Scots present but to those who attended out of curiosity.  I have no hesitation in recommending Magdalena for similar events” Graeme Coles, manager, Deans Place, Alfriston

Available all year round for jazz shows and Burns Nights.
