Jamboree Jazz Club

Description:
Jamboree opened in 1960, there last year we celebrated our 60th anniversary, we are the oldest Jazz venue in Spain. I encourage you to read the history on our website because it is too extensive to sum up in 150 words: https://jamboreejazz.com/en/history/

I will just reveal that already during the 60s and 70s Jamboree was a popular spot in Barcelona. It was home to artists such as Bill Coleman, Chet Baker, Art Farmer, Lou Bennet, Stéphane Grappelli, Kenny Clarke, Ornette Coleman, René Thomas and Dexter Gordon.

Right now we are closed due to Covid but we’ll resume our activity in August. Before covid, we always used to program two sets of live music every day of the year, we are the only venue in Spain to host that many concerts. Furthermore, we organize a festival every summer: The Mas i Mas Festival, this year will be the 18th edition. Mas i Mas is the name of the company which runs Jamboree as well as Los Tarantos (where we program flamenco shows) and Moog (a techno club), therefore, the Mas i Mas Festival includes all of these styles. You can find the history of the Festival here: https://masimasfestival.com/en/august-nights-barcelona/

At the moment we are a private company that receives some subsidies from the Catalan Government and our sponsors, but our main income comes from the activity we generate.
