Alliances Francaises

In the same spirit than the Instituts français, over a thousand Alliances Françaises centers are spread throughout the world. They also provide funding and performance space for visiting French artists and facilitate exchanges and collaborations with local artists. The difference is that the Alliances françaises depend on an association (the Foundation of Alliances françaises) instead of public authorities (even if they do contribute to their funding).
Consequently, their offer may vary from center to center.
