Sim Mike

 

Mike Sim began playing gigs at the age of 16 in his home town of Toronto with blues guitarist Jeff Healy and soon realized music would be his path. After studying with Dave Holland and others at a jazz workshop, he auditioned for the Berklee school of music and was accepted on a full scholarship where he would study and perform for 2 years with some of the greatest musicians in the world, including Joe Viola, Herb Pomeroy, Clark Terry and many others .As well as winning the Boston Jazz society award in 1988, Mike did several recording sessions of original material for the Canadian national radio during this period.
