You can now register for the European Jazz Conference 2015, taking place in Budapest, Hungary, 24 to 27 September 2015.

The European Jazz Conference (EJC) is the most important annual meeting of jazz professionals in Europe, in particular of producers, presenters and jazz support organisations. What was the General Assembly of the Europe Jazz Network, from 2014 became the European Jazz Conference and it is now opened to everyone who wants to participate, upon payment of a participation fee.

For the year 2015, the city of Budapest, Hungary, was selected to host the European Jazz Conference. The Conference is organised by the Europe Jazz Network and the Budapest Music Center, a music landmark of the city founded by trombone player and academy professor László Gőz in 1996.

The European Jazz Conference is a unique event, the only one of its kind in Europe, centered on building relationships between jazz professionals in Europedeveloping new projects and artistic collaborationssharing expertise and getting up to date with the newest management and programming trends in Europe.

Moreover, the Conference is about learning about jazz scenes and best practises from all around the world, including countries beyond Europe.

The theme for the 2015 Conference is “Make it Happen”, with a focus on positive and concrete implementation of new ideas and original projects. Participants to the Conference will learn about new tools and strategies that can be used in order to expand their international work, embrace green policies and anti-discriminatory guidelines in their work, will get up to date with the latest ideas on audience development, fundraising and philanthropy, communication and programming of innovative acts.

The European Jazz conference is composed of keynote speeches, debates, working groups and networking sessions, which will give to participants the possibility to connect with hundreds between the main jazz promoters in Europe. Moreover, every evening at the venue there will be showcases of the most interesting and innovative jazz ensembles in Hungary.
