SLIGO JAZZ PROJECT

Host of Europe's Premier Jazz Education event each July in Sligo, Ireland. Sligo Jazz Project's aims are to inspire, educate and entertain in equal measure. Each year we bring world-class jazz musicians from around the globe to give workshops, masterclasses and perform at Sligo's unique jazz festival. OUr faculty of 20+ tutors attracts 120+ participants from all over the world each year to this unique event. The list of past tutors/performers have included Rufus Reid, John Taylor, Kenny Werner, Liane Carroll, Ernie Watts, Ian Shaw, Adam Nussbaum, John Riley, Mike Walker, Steve Rodby, Gwilym Simcock, Emilia Martensson, Victor Wooten, Mike Stern, Yellowjackets, Avishai Cohen, The Bad Plus, Chuck Rainey, Federico Malaman, Paul Clarvis, Iain Dixon and many more. 

Sligo Jazz aspires to be an inclusive event open to people of all backgrounds and performance levels, from interested amatuers to professional musicians. All funds raised go into making the event affordable to as many people as possible.

The event takes place in beautiful Yeats Country in the northwest of Ireland.
