A to JazZ Festival

A to JazZ Festival is established in 2011 with the support of Municipality of Sofia, "America for Bulgaria" Foundation and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria. Over the years, it reached an audience of over 100,000 people and presented nearly 200 artists including established names from the global and Bulgarian jazz scene as well as dozens of emerging young talents and debuts.

The festival attracted great musicians like Branford Marsalis, Kurt Elling, Kenny Garrett, Roy Hargrove, Michel Camilo Trio, Richard Bona, Dianne Reeves, José James, Nik West, Frank McComb, N'dambi, Reel People and best Bulgarian jazz masters. A to JazZ is an open air and free entrance event. The program includes A to JazZ KIDS educational program for the youngest music fans, as well as jam sessions and outdoor art bazaar. A to JazZ Festival is organized by the NPO A to Z Foundation, Sofia, Bulgaria.

A to JazZ Festival is free access festival where everyone is invited. This is the way we make jazz more and more popular in my country. With its “Debutes” platform, A to JazZ Festival provides stage to the youngest jazz musicians from music schools and conservatories. With the AtoJazZ KIDS platform we educate the youngest to love music and jazz and that’s how we build the future jazz audience. We also collaborate with many European jazz bands, which includes Bulgarian or Balkan musicians.
