Description:
Jamboree is an iconic venue located in the heart of Barcelona, in the city’s iconic Plaça Reial. Opened in 1960, we are the oldest Jazz venue in Spain. We encourage you to read the history on our website because it is too extensive to sum up in 150 words: https://jamboreejazz.com/en/history-jamboree-barcelona/

We will just reveal that already during the 60s and 70s Jamboree was a popular spot in Barcelona. It was home to artists such as Bill Coleman, Chet Baker, Art Farmer, Lou Bennet, Stéphane Grappelli, Kenny Clarke, Ornette Coleman, René Thomas and Dexter Gordon.

Nowadays, the club has become a symbol of the city's jazz culture, offering a cozy, intimate setting with a vaulted, underground design that evokes a classic jazz vibe. We use to program minimum two sets of live music every day of the year, we are the only venue in Spain to host that many concerts.

The club is managed by the Mas i Mas Group, a cultural organization that also oversees other notable venues like Los Tarantos, a flamenco performance space, and Moog, a techno club known for its electronic music scene. The group has broadened Barcelona’s cultural offerings through its yearly Mas i Mas Festival, with more than 20 editions, which spans jazz, flamenco, gospel, soul, electronic music... showcasing world-class talent across different genres. Mas i Mas is dedicated to preserving and expanding Barcelona’s live music scene, making it a key player in the city’s cultural landscape. At the moment we are a private company that receives some subsidies from the Catalan Government and our sponsors, but our main income comes from the activity we generate.
