RIGA JAZZ STAGE is an international jazz artists contest - great chance for young and talented jazz artists to prove their skills on the international stage. Contest aims to give young musicians an opportunity to improve their skills in international competition with other jazz performers from all over the world and empowers young jazz musicians to network with musicians and music professionals.
Each year along with the category "Jazz Vocal", a different instrument category is selected; in 2015, the instrument category is "Jazz Trumpet". Young jazz artists from Latvia, Slovenia, Canada, UK, Russia, Spain, Austria, Lithuania and Israel have applied to be a part of the contest! Contest features an all-star judging panel - among them are music experts, festival directors and journalists.
