A message from Antonio Princigalli, Puglia Sounds Coordinator

Dear all,

I am writing to inform you that tomorrow, July 1, 2016, I will end my role as coordinator of Puglia Sounds.
The most innovative project for the development of "music system" ever to be made in Italy.

Since 2010 we have organized 5 editions of Medimex, promoted around 800 concerts in 80 countries around the world, favoured the creation of nearly 200 records, created a network of 106 festivals, supported thousands of shows.

None of this would have been possible without an overall political intelligence which assigned culture a central role for   Puglia and who had the foresight to realize that the huge Apulian musical heritage could contribute to the economic, social and touristic development of the region. None of this would have been possible without the artists, festivals, record companies, firms, associations, technicians, recording studios, etc. who with their work and their creativity were the main creators of the results achieved. None of this would have been possible without the many people who over the years have done their work within Puglia Sounds, with commendable dedication and professionalism. This is what it was.

As planned, we concluded the projects and activities as provided for in the previous program by June 2016, and saving on previous funds, we also managed to extend until November some international activities and little else. Of what the future of Puglia Sounds and Medimex will be, unfortunately I cannot tell anything.

Thank you,
Antonio Princigalli
