Austrian Acts at the Eurosonic Festival 2013

Once again the European pop scene will meet and greet in January 2013 in the Dutch city of Groningen. The Eurosonic Noorderslag Festival gathers festival organizers, music promoters and pop experts from across Europe to get an idea of the most promising acts on the market. As part of the European Talent Exchange Program (ETEP), Austria will also be present with four local acts that will play the role of musical ambassadors and showcase their talent. This time the lucky candidates are the Upper Austrian electro band A.G.Trio, the indie rockers Mile Me Deaf, alternative psychedelic rockers Steaming Satellites and the Viennese heavy-metal-polka-Balkan-punk combo Gasmac Gilmore.

Eurosonic Noorderslag Festival’s Official Trailer:

It is a fact that Europe is full of good and talented musicians and bands. Thus, it seems as if the talent of these artists still has not been fully recognized. This is exactly where the project ETEP sets in. The ultimate goal of this initiative is to provide awareness for musicians and acts in the participating project countries and to increase their visibility beyond national borders. The artists are given opportunities to perform at various festivals across the continent in order to establish a whole new fan base. Looking back on previous successful years, the concept of this project has worked out perfectly.

The array of ETEP festivals also includes the Eurosonic Noorderslag Festival, which will be staged next year between the 9th and 12th of January in Groningen, Netherlands. This festival is especially unique and special, because the organizers deliberately invite other European festival organizers to present their most promising new acts. Quite frequently, this festival in the Netherlands has been an important stepping stone for young bands and musicians in terms of an international career. Bearing this wonderful opportunity in mind, this is an exceptional chance for the performing Austrian acts in 2013 which they can definitely use to their advantage and get themselves noticed on an international level.
