Le Trio d\'en Bas c\'est un répertoire brut de décoffrage, fait de compositions originales, d\'improvisations soudaines, d\'humour intempestif, et qui entreprend fréquemment des relectures de thèmes empruntés au jazz, à la chanson française, voir à la variété internationale (quelle honte… !) qui n\'attend plus, chers auditeurs, que de tomber entre vos oreilles attentives et curieuses.

« Ils sont effectivement trois mais sonnent au moins comme quatre. Leur maelström sonore, innervé de satire sociale rigolarde, un peu foutraque, tient la route et assure les virages les plus serrés grâce à un engagement instrumental total, grâce également à un recul amusé sur l\'ensemble de leurs « influences » : le jazz, Zappa, le post-rock, le free, les valses de Strauss, etc… »

En créant Rockingchair, Airelle Besson et Sylvain Rifflet se sont fixé deux buts essentiels. Créer un groupe en tant que tel dans l’esprit des rock bands – et non une simple association de solistes talentueux. Et porter une attention particulière au son de l’ensemble : plus qu’un ingénieur du son, Gilles Olivesi devient un membre à part entière du groupe, participant au processus créatif. Missions accomplies et bien plus encore, puisque le quintette est devenu l’une des formations les plus excitants de la scène hexagonale contemporaine, à mi-chemin entre le lyrisme électrico-électronique de Radiohead et la puissance d’invention du Alas No Axis de Jim Black.

IDEA PER CASO AZNAVOUR

Pour certains, l’éclectisme masque un manque de personnalité. Pour Cristina Zavalloni, il s’agit d’un art de vivre ses multiples identités, d’une manière tout à fait singulière de faire vibrer son don d’ambiguïté. Cantatrice d’opéra, improvisatrice jazz, chanteuse à textes ou de cabaret… Elle peut tout chanter, douée d’une technique qui transfigure n’importe quel genre. Dans "Par hasard Aznavour", appuyée par un trio d’improvisateurs tout-terrain, sa voix s’élance sur des morceaux choisis du grand Charles mais aussi des compositions originales, alternant recueillement et instants de douce folie… Pour nous emporter corps et âme dans un tourbillon de notes qui ne perd jamais le sens de la dramaturgie.

IL ÉTAIT UNE FOIS LA RÉVOLUTION

Quelques années ont passé depuis la création à Banlieues Bleues de Septik autour d\'"Il était une fois la révolution", le grand western-spaghetti de Sergio Leone marqué par la bande-son composée par Ennio Morricone. A la fois lyrique et satirique, épique et comique, cette partition demeure un modèle. Médéric Collignon en délivre sa propre version. "Comme si j\'arrangeais le film moi-même". A partir des partitions originales, le trompettiste exacerbe le propos, en dynamitant l\'oeuvre de l\'intérieur quitte à provoquer un énorme feu d\'artifice comme dans le film, mais aussi en soulignant la délicatesse d\'une mélodie jouée au seul banjo.

Guitariste polymorphe qui fait l’admiration de Pat Metheny, Paolo Angeli a réuni autour de lui deux de ces anciens camarades de jeu, figures historiques de l’improvisation mondiale. A sa gauche, Hamid Drake, batteur complice indispensable d’une pluie dorée de musiciens (de Don Cherry à Herbie Hancock en passant par David Murray). A sa droite, Antonello Salis, pianiste et accordéoniste atypique, capable de faire sonner son instrument comme personne. En plus de la guitare hybride (18 cordes agrémentées de martelets, pédaliers, hélices) d’Angeli, il faut s’attendre à tout avec ces trois phénomènes musicaux : cris et chuchotements, stupeurs et tremblements, bruit et fureur…

Point commun de ces musiciens ? Le goût de l\'humour et de la transgression, assurément. Ici, pas d\'étiquette, pas de codes restrictifs, mais une parfaite maîtrise instrumentale qui permet à Michel DEBRULLE (percussions), Laurent DEHORS (saxophones, clarinettes, cornemuse, guimbarde) et Michel MASSOT (tuba, trombone) d\'élaborer une architecture sonore polymorphe et inspirée. En équilibre permanent entre l\'élan et la suspension, TRIO GRANDE replace le son et l\'émotion au centre. Engagés physiquement dans le jeu, les musiciens communiquent aisément cette fièvre quasi lyrique qui donne une nouvelle dimension à chaque phrase musicale.

In March the Secret Quartet released ‘Bloor Street’, their long-awaited follow-up to “Secret” [2002], confirming their reputation as one of the most formidable quartets on the international jazz scene. Featuring 9 beautifully crafted originals by Speake, Iles and Hopkins – three individually distinctive voices with a shared sense of how the Secret Quartet’s music should sound. A luminary in jazz electronica, Nils Petter-Molvaer has been releasing music under his own name since 1997. As a composer and trumpet player his style draws from a wide palette including jazz, ambient and house as well as hip-hop, rock and pop music. His latest album, Hamada, takes its name from the Arabian word meaning dead but refers to, in this context, impassable areas of desert. The music is angrier and darker than NPM’s previous work and will be perfectly suited to the intimate atmosphere of the Hare & Hounds. TG Collective was founded in 2006 by guitarists Sam Slater and Jamie Fekete, two of the three guitarists from Trio Gitano. TG Collective are a glorious combination of gypsy hotclub, flamenco, jazz and contemporary classical influences which underpin this superb ensemble, built around a core of the two guitarists. An exciting, sensuous sound described rightly by The Times as “Stylish – very stylish”. Harmonic

Harmonic is an artist led jazz festival in Birmingham, UK. The festival’s Artistic Directors are bass player Chris Mapp and trumpeter/bass player Percy Pursglove. Both are members of the Birmingham collective Cobweb Collective which has been running nights around Birmingham for the last 5 years including the highly successful Thursday night session at The Yardbird jazz club.

Harmonic is a celebration of all the good things happening in Birmingham. The focus of the festival is on Birmingham/Midlands based musicians and the creation of new music and ensembles. Often overlooked by the national press, Birmingham has a vibrant and diverse jazz scene. Harmonic is a great opportunity to check out some of the creative jazz musicians applying their trade in the second city.

A very special collaboration between Birmingham Jazz and Harmonic, a new festival for 2010. Alcyona is a graduate of the jazz course at the Conservatorie and is becoming a formidable force on the Birtish jazz scene as a composer and a pianist via the London LOOP Collective.

Alongside Jon Wygens on guitar and Geoff Hannan on violin Alcyona will perform her new work for F.W. Murnau’s astonishing 1927 silent film Sunrise which will open the festival on Tuesday 23 March at St Martin’s Church in the Bull Ring.

Tipped to follow hot on the heels of bands like Polar Bear and Portico Quartet as the next big thing in British jazz. Their eponymous album on Edition Records was in Jazzwise’s top 10 albums of 2009 and Time Out describes them as being “like King Crimson for the Ipod Generation”. The band cites influences as being Wayne Krantz, Aphex Twin, Tim Berne and Steely Dan and features the stellar line up of Kit Downes on organ, Chris Montague on guitar and Joshua Blackmore on drums.

Jerry Dammers, founder of Coventry’s The Specials and 2 Tone Records, writer of Ghost Town and Free Nelson Mandela, started his 19 piece orchestra as a “tribute band” to space jazz maverick Sun Ra.

Dammers has now expanded the repertoire, from Cedric “Im” Brookes’ spiritual reggae, to Alice Coltrane’s eastern mysticism… from Tommy McCook’s deep jazzy ska, to Martin Denny’s dark exotica… and even to one or two versions of Dammers’ own songs.

Some of the country’s best jazz musicians perform, with occasional vocalists, inside Dammers’ rhythmic setting, which draws on funk, reggae, rock, and recent styles such as hip hop, jungle or dubstep. The orchestra has received rave reviews from both jazz and rock/pop critics, in Dammers’ words, “aimed at everyone”. It is vivid, visual and theatrical.

When listening to the unmistakable music of the WHO trio, I have to think of HEINRICH VON KLEIST’s essay “Concerning the Gradual Construction of Thoughts while Speaking,” which he wrote in 1805. In this brilliant short text, KLEIST clearly argues that uttered thoughts arise from speaking situations. Basically, the person speaking freelydoes not know where the trip will take him at the beginning of his speech act. By using pauses and repetition, the speaker organizes and becomes conscious of thoughts, thus gaining deeper insight into the material at the same timehe expresses himself. Along these lines, one can speak of a group gradually constructing music while playing it when one listens to the WHO trio. But in contrast to free jazz, the musicians do not liberate themselves in emphatic improvisation, but rather they liberate the music of every connotation. At the beginning there is always a statement of noise, sound, rhythmic pattern, groove or harmony. The musical interaction resulting from this creates pauses, space,in each case to develop new ideas from itself. Under the roof of an expanded and self-referential jazz concept, blues and serious music are unified reflexively in pure improvisation. The oxymoron “Less is More,” itself a dictum and titular, is the trio’s motto and conviction to reduce everything to the essential. The musical material is processed minimalistically and transformed successively into a macrocosm. All physical parameters reach their limits. Tempi seem apparently “timeless” in the tact scheme of the groove. Organically, groovy bass lines encounter polyrhythms, meet up with ad hoc sounds intelligently on microtonally hovering piano lines in kind of hyperspace. Coincidence andinteraction consciously influence how the players act in a reciprocal perpetuum mobile effect. Everything is related to each other and interacts in continuing trial and error processes that become increasingly differentiated; and it is all masterfully controlled by these well rehearsed musicians.

At the same time, the special attraction of this music is its simplicity and its controlled emotionality, or, to agree with the Bauhaus architect HEINRICH TESSENOW, “the simple is not always the best, but the best is always simple.”

The piano jazz trio is by now a familiar form—maybe too familiar. Many are already attuned to the standards-style trio (which may also cover modern pop tunes), and the free jazz trio (which is neither tethered to melody nor anchored in jazz sensibilities. But expectations need to be set aside when WHO Trio plays. The descriptive title, Less Is More, might just bear the subtitle "any more of this might just be too much."This trio, featuring drummer Gerry Hemingway, Swiss pianist Michel Wintsch and bassist Bänz Oester, has been making music for more than 10 years now. Although each player has multiple side projects, their work together is both remarkable and quite exceptional. This is the trio\'s fifth recording, following The Current Underneath (Leo Records, 2004).The intelligence of this music is in its simplicity and interplay. Only a close working group like WHO Trio could make this coherent a statement and not get in each other\'s way. The music, pleasing in its simplicity, samples jazz swing but eschews its boundaries. Each player, adept at free jazz, strives to maintain the focus of each thoroughly composed track. No diddling is heard here—whether Wintsch is plucking strings inside his piano, Oester is knocking wood on his bass, or Hemingway is creating a myriad of sounds on his kit, they are contributing to the whole composition. The closest relation to this trio might be Keith Jarrett\'s Standards Trio, coupled with the teamwork of the Clusone Trio, and the telepathy of a classic Bill Evans recording. But unlike those bands, WHO Trio doesn\'t begin its exploration with covers of familiar tunes. It creates its own world, which can be beautiful and moving in ballads that combine the tension and release of jazz with the folk sensibility of a simple melody.
For all practical purposes this is a perfect recording.

The piano trio is probably one of the most common ensembles to be heard in jazz, and truth be told, I am a little weary of them, preferring the expressiveness of a horn section. Yet once in a while, a piano trio comes forward that has something new to tell. When I listened to WHO Trio\'s "The Current Underneath" (Leo Records) a couple of years ago, I was immediately enchanted by the sheer musicality of the project. This one, "Less Is More", is even better. The trio consists of Michel Wintsch on piano, Gerry Hemingway on drums and Bänz Oester on bass. I have rarely come across a band who can create the perfect marriage of tension and lyricism, like this trio does. The "less is more" concept really describes the music well, there is lots of open space, but there is also tension in every note being played. Every sound is full of restraint, as if it only hints at the vast hidden world that made it possible, yet that remains unseen. Implicit music. The note that isn\'t played is as important as the one that is. Real beauty is revealed by suggesting it. Despite this sparsity of notes, the music itself makes sense. There is a simple beauty in it, with evolving melodic concepts, interesting compositional structures, and some extended techniques. Each piece is different, though, but all tracks fall within the same logic and supertight control. If the Japanese saying is true that beauty is "controlled passion", then this album is for sure a great example of it.

WHO stands for Wintsch (Michel, piano), Hemingway (Gerry, drums and percussion) and Oester (Bänz, bass). Active for over ten years under this embodiment, these
artists are as distant from an ordinarily stale jazz trio as an exhausted reviewer could wish for. For starters, we find no surplus of swing in Less Is More, which makes me
extremely intrigued. There’s much else to explore, though, and the musicians are not shy in attempting different routes, all leading to a single result: the expression of
simple rhythmic and melodic concepts through a superior level of restrained interplay.Either walking across intense abstraction (the impressive opening track
“Inside The Glade” is, purely and simply, a masterpiece of concerned waiting and unsettled thoughts) or examining the details of metrical interlocking almost to the point of ritualism
(“The Pump”, “The Eastern Corner”), WHO always manage to look unique even by maintaining the instrumental gradations virtually untouched. “Wedding Suite” may appear as a
straightforward song yet it is full of dissonance – of the digestible kind - especially remarked by the ever-interesting, outside-the-canon figurations played by Wintsch, whose style is
reserved and intelligently comprehensible at once, altered melodies and harmonic cleverness bathed in inspired suggestion. Banz sounds prosperous or emaciated depending on the
context, the focus remaining on the sensible aspects of structural stability. Hemingway offers a great proof of sensitive drumming throughout, the subtlety of his percussive
nterventions during the most rarefied sections a lesson of self-discipline that many bangers should learn. Don’t be fooled into thinking about ECM or similar comparisons: despite
a graceful confidence and the total mastery of the tools at their disposal, these men’s music is a refined blend of sensitiveness and, at times, visionary drive that does not
need the support of a church’s reverberation to affirm its durability in the listener’s memory.

Its beginning with almost the twenty minutes of “Inside The Glade” (composed by the trio) and “Still Alone” (written by pianist Michel Wintsch) shows two subjects
of chilling beauty, able to absorb the listener and to transfer us to a state of eternal contemplation. The three final pieces (“Stardance”, “Hasna” and “The Eastern Corner”,
that show moments of the three musicians using their instruments in a little orthodox way, are three magnificent samples of how this trio works as a group, with subjects
that are constructed little by little and that are based on deep listening between the three musicians

The fourth album in Strut’s Inspiration Information series is a mouth-watering head to head between Finnish maverick Jimi Tenor and Afrobeat drumming legend, Tony Allen.

Jimi Tenor remains a fascinating enigma in modern day music. Consistently one of the best and most unpredictable live artists around, his work since his breakthrough album ‘Intervision’ (Warp, 1997) has involved open-minded projects ranging from live film soundtracks and orchestral pieces to a series of Afro-based albums with his band Kabu Kabu. Tony Allen continues to attract new fans as one of the greatest drummers alive today. Celebrated as the creator of the Afrobeat rhythm and a lynchpin of Fela Kuti’s Africa 70 band, his recent work has included The Good, The Bad & The Queen collaboration with Damon Albarn and his first album for World Circuit Records released earlier this year, ‘Secret Agent’.

With "Liebe" Tanz Baby! present their first Album. And with their song „Ich bin traurig“ Tanz Baby! already landed their first #1 Hit, the second release “Wo bist du” is in the FM4 Charts now.

Tanz Baby! are David & Mu "The Great Pretenders" of Vienna\'s music scene.

Using instruments such as a 1970s electronic organ, with its typical groove patterns, and some 1980s vintage drum sounds, Vienna based duo Tanz Baby! create a unique atmosphere of otherworldly artificial retro pop. Melancholy, mariachi style trumpets and a dreamy accordion play cool melodies and transport listeners to far away imaginary seashores. David, always wearing a red rose with his signature black suit, croons with great theatricality and draws the audience into a world of love, desire, and despair. Mu, combining rhythms and song structures influenced by Neue Deutsche Welle music, composed the songs with linguistic idioms from such music genres as "German Schlager."

Der 1,96m große Skero von der Hip Hop Gruppe Texta gibt sich die Ehre sein erstes Soloalbum zu präsentieren.

Auf „Memoiren eines Riesen“ verarbeitet Skero seinen ganz persönlichen Werdegang, seine Erfahrungen, seine Liebe und Leidenschaften, sein Leben in Wien mit seinen teils fiktiven Geschichten, die aber ganz nah an der Realität spielen.

Mit einem Who’s Who der österreichischen Producerriege an den Reglern mit denen er schon ewig etwas machen wollte, angefangen von DJ Urbs (G Stone) zu Whizz Vienna (VOZ) zu Trishes (FM4) oder DJ Buzz (Waxos), klappert Skero einen vielfältigen Katalog an Styles von Boombap zu Jazzy HipHop zu Dubstep oder auch Baile Funk ab, und präsentiert so eine Vielfältigkeit wie sie selten ist, ohne dabei angestrengt oder erzwungen zu klingen.

Der in Mödling geborene, in Linz aufgewachsene und seit 17 Jahren in Wien wohnende MC und Graffitikünstler schafft es auf mehreren Songs ein Fusion zwischen Wienerlied und HipHop zu schlagen, so thematisiert er das Künstlerleben auf „Künstler“, beschreibt minuziös ein Seniorenmatch auf „Fuassboi“ oder mimt den Betrunkenen beim Branntweiner auf „Ham“.

Legendary drummer Omar Hakim from Weather Report, Sting, Miles Davis and David Bowie has teamed up with pianist extraordinaire Rachel Z; whose work with such artists as Wayne Shorter, Steps Ahead, and Peter Gabriel has earned her international recognition and acclaim from her peers and fans alike.

This exciting musical partnership features the tasteful virtuosity and sensitivity of these Grammy Award winning musicians as they take you on an exciting journey performing some of the most creative and unique arrangements of jazz standards and chart topping rock hits of the past 30 years.

Trio of OZ‘ musical presentation is built upon compositions by such artists as Duke Ellington, Depeche Mode, Wayne Shorter, Joni Mitchell, Judy Garland, Sting, Peter Gabriel, The Killers, Coldplay, Stone Temple Pilots, and Björk. Omar Hakim

Widely acclaimed for his versatility, technological prowess and groove, Omar Hakim is one of the most successful drummers and session men of the past thirty-five years. He has collaborated with artists ranging from Miles Davis to Madonna, and has left his imprint on hundreds recordings including several under his own name.

Born in New York City to a musical family, Omar began playing the drums at age 5. At the age of ten, he was performing publicly with his father Hasan Hakim, a trombone veteran of the Duke Ellington and Count Basie bands. His father‘s friendship with John Coltrane enabled young Omar to spend time with Elvin Jones and Art Blakey. And at age 11 he studied with (then Count Basie big band drummer and master technician) Clyde Lucas. This expertise in the Jazz tradition is what attracted band leader Mike Manieri to hire Omar and Music & Art HS classmate and future bass star, Marcus Miller for the Band Steps Ahead in 1980.

He went on to record and tour with Gil Evans Big Band, David Sanborn, Patti Labelle and many others. Soon after, he filled in for a tour of the groundbreaking fusion band “Weather Report”, a job he would keep permanently until the band‘s breakup in 1985. In addition to the three albums he recorded with Weather Report, he also landed a gig playing on David Bowie‘s 1983 return to the American pop charts, “Let‘s Dance”.

His early successes led to many more high profile engagements and by the end of the 1980s, Omar had performed on landmark recordings with artists such as Miles Davis (Tutu, Music from Siesta), Dire Straits (Brother in Arms, Money for Nothing) and Sting (Dream of the Blue Turtles, and the popular “Rockumentary” movie Bring on the Night). His drum solo in Sting‘s movie on the song “I Burn For You” is considered by many fans and critics alike to be one of the greatest drum solos to be documented on film. It was a powerful and virtuosic jazz drum solo in the middle of a rock show that took fans by surprise and excited them to respond with standing ovations every night of the tour.

Building on these successes, in 1989 he even found time to produce and release his first solo album, Rhythm Deep, which earned him his first Grammy nomination. In the Nineties he toured with Lionel Ritchie and International Pop Superstar Madonna for 8 years. He was also a founding member of the Jazz Super Band “Urban Knights” along with Ramsey Lewis, Grover Washington Jr. and bassist Victor Bailey. The band featured his songwriting and vocal skills.

Omar was also exploring the latest advances in electronic drums and keeping up with the newest recording and percussion technologies. He was so excited about the Roland Musical Instruments Co. development of the “V-Drums” that he became the first international spokesman and adopter of that technology. His versatility put him in even greater demand, and his eclectic interests kept him busy in the pop, jazz, rock, fusion and R&B worlds.

Using V-Drums with Madonna on one hand and recording and performing on acoustic drums with Hank Jones Great Jazz Trio, he further established himself as a major innovator on his instrument.

Omar has collaborated with dozens of prominent artists including George Benson, Lionel Richie, Chaka Khan, Anita Baker, Bobby McFerrin, John Scofield, Urban Knight‘s, Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Jewel, J-Lo, D‘Angelo, Mariah Carey, and Madonna to name a few.

Rachel Z

Manhattan-born and raised Rachel Nicolazzo (aka Rachel Z) had music practically ingrained in her genetic code. Groomed to follow in her mother‘s operatic footsteps, she began voice lessons at two, started classical piano lessons at seven and attended the opera by age nine. “My first dollhouse was a Metropolitan Opera House complete with the stage and dolls which were the performers,” she recalls. “Then I heard Miles Smiles when I was 15, started rebelling against the classical by improvising, and played with a band that covered Joni Mitchell and Steely Dan songs.”

Listening to Herbie Hancock‘s harmonies over Wayne Shorter‘s compositions helped her bridge the gap from her classical training to jazz.”The way my jazz chops developed was twofold. I developed acoustic straight ahead and electronic fusion playing equally over time,” she says. After launching a quintet called Nardis, she studied with Joanne Brackeen and Richie Beirach.

Rachel Z graduated from the New England Conservatory with a ‘Distinction in Performance‘ award while working professionally in the Boston area with performers like Bob Moses, Miroslav Vitous and George Garzone. Returning to New York in 1988, she toured with New England Conservatory schoolmate turned rhythm & jazz superstar saxman Najee and later co-wrote album Tokyo Blue. While performing and recording steadily with the classic fusion band Steps Ahead from 1988 through 1996, she also worked with Al Di Meola, Larry Coryell, Special EFX, and Angela Bofill, and began a fruitful association with producer/vibraphonist Mike Mainieri. Mainieri produced her Columbia Records debut Trust the Universe in 1993. Reflecting the influence of Corea, Hancock, and even Pat Metheny, the CD featured the jazz radio hit “Nardis.”

Her connection to saxophone great Wayne Shorter grew from major influence to full-blown collaborator over the two years she worked on his hit comeback album High Life, for which she built a synthesized orchestral framework to crystallize his musical vision. Rachel Z also played acoustic piano on the album and was musical director for the tour that followed. The CD won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Jazz Album. 1996 also saw the release of her NYC Records debut A Room of One‘s Own, which she dedicated to the many women artists who have played an influential role in her life. Two years later Rachel released an album on GRP, Love is the Power, an album that featured hip-hop grooves with melodic piano flourishes and poems about the search for eternal love and wisdom through music.

Rachel returned to acoustic music, in an all-female trio setting, with On the Milky Way Express, her well-received tribute to Wayne Shorter, in 2000.

Maeve Royce

On Bass is the talented and highly adaptable Maeve Royce, who has been working with Z since 2005. Adept in a Jazz and Classical setting, she adds another dimension to the group’s arrangements with her enchanting bow work and her formidable virtuosity.

Cyro Baptista received the United States Artists Fellows 2009 in Music\'s category, in recognition of his outstanding creative and original contributions to nation\'s vast cultural, ethnic, and geographic diversity.

General public is rarely able to attend to a vibrant, surprising and original show such as Beat The Donkey, a Brazilian Project rooted in New York. A truly impressive musical and scenic experience.

Cyro Baptista lives in the USA since 1980 and ever since became famous for his genius and creativity. Excellent percussionist Cyro Baptista gathered around him New Yorker avant-garde underground musicians such as the amazing sax player John Zorn with whom he kept on working throughout the years.

With six edited albums, two of which as Beat The Donkey, Cyro Baptista increased his fame by working with other famous artists such as David Byrne, Paul Simon, Brian Eno, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Laurie Anderson, Herbie Hancock, Bobby McFerrin, Yo-Yo-Ma, Santana, Sting, Milton Nascimento, Caetano Veloso, Ivan Lins, Marisa Monte and Nana Vasconcelos. Not many percussionists worldwide are this popular nor enjoy such a successful career.

With Beat The Donkey, translation of the Brazilian expression «Pau na Mula», Cyro Baptista creates an exuberant multicultural, theatrical and dancing show. Sounds of Brazil, Middle East, Indonesia, Africa and the US are performed by an absolutely fascinating group of musicians creating an organized chaos on stage. After a journey of ten years of life, Dazkarieh managed to create a distinctive sound. It\'s the sound of the past by the old and acoustic instruments and the sound of the present which echoes when it turns into pure distortion. It´s the Portuguese tradition, but also a tradition of today that causes an explosive sound, though full of introspection.
Four musicians on stage are the link between past, present and future. It is a journey through the imaginary sound of Portugal and the World and an overwhelming energy that leaves no one indiferente.The fourth album, “Hemispheres”, which is double album where the original themes and recreations of the music of Portuguese oral tradition merge into one.

With a regular presence in the programs of Radio Antena 3 and MTV is first album "Bring Up the Feeling" was launched in 2007. An album that surprised positively reaching first place on the playlist, and was considered the best album of the year by the reggae community "Sunshine Reggae" and " Zona Reggae." In 2008 and 2009 has been included in the line-up of the local main festivals, such as Sudoeste , Mestiço , etc.
The release of his next album is scheduled for 2010.

Gazua [ new album in 2010]

Formed in 2005, GAZUA are a rock band, that sings in Portuguese with a seat in Lisbon. The year 2007 was particularly busy with a packed schedule of concerts culminating in the decision to proceed with recording the first album "Convocação" to be published soon in early 2008. The universe of Gazua lies between punk rock and rock, with various influences ranging from international names such as Clash, Suicidal Tendencies, Ramones, Motorhead, Patti Smith, AC-DC to Thin Lizzy. After a series of concerts around the country to promote the first album, comes at the beginning of 2009 "Music Pirata." A more comprehensive disk in the style of Rock. All Ages Welcome !!!
