Medimex 2012, Bari, Italy

The second edition of Medimex, which will take place in Bari from November 29 to December 2, 2012

Medimex is the only music market fair in Italy, organized by Puglia Sounds, is an event that sees professionals of the music system, firms, music agencies, cultural institutions, media and national and international artists as protagonists. A market fair dedicated to all the music genres developed in 3 days full of artistic and business exchanges, meetings, conferences, speed dating, showcases and events.


The main objective is to encourage the relationship between the regional, Italian and International music markets – with particular attention to the Mediterranean – in order to create an incentive for artistic exchanges and business relations, and to support the development of the entire music industry.


The first edition of Medimex, which took place in Bari from the 24th to the 27th November, 2011, registered the participation of 1.300 operators from 21 countries, 200 Italian and international artists, more than 250 accredited journalists. The fair has taken place in more than 8.000 square meters of exhibition area with 150 stands, four conference rooms and four stages devoted to live performances where 50 events took place among showcases and live performances by Apulian, Italian and international artists together with another 30 “appointments” including international conferences, author’s meetings and presentations.



MEDIMEX is a project promoted by Puglia Region - Mediterranean, Culture and Tourism Department - as part of the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) Operational Programme Axis IV Line M - and organized by Puglia Sounds, Teatro Pubblico Pugliese.
