NEW ALBUM ALEGRIA

Because Fado, the ill-fated Fado, the, sometimes poorly loved Fado, can also verbalize joy, and because joy and melancholy can be two sides of a same coin, this new album is a journey where the darkest soul and everyday’s glory, are life stories of nameless people. A raw, ironic, heartfelt portrait of everyday’s man and women, people you can see around the corner or across the ocean.

Along the journey we will meet twelve genuine characters, twelve stories unfolding as you read them, twelve accounts of life, of real life. A sung narrative on the way we live in my country (or yours), depicted by some of the most talented Portuguese contemporary authors. They are the salt of this earth, the ones that struggle everyday to live in their homeland or somewhere they cannot call home. Each one will be a fragment, a reflection of each of us, of everyone of us.

This album with Cristina Branco (vocals), Bernardo Couto (Portuguese guitar), Ricardo Dias (piano) and Bernardo Moreira (double bass) will be released in the Spring of 2013.
