BERLIN PROJECTS

- 'BassX3' with Clayton Thomas and Chris Dahlgren on double basses and objects and myself on bass clarinet and bass flute.
The CD 'Transatlantic' was released on Leo Records in 2012. The CD won the Choc by JazzMag France.

- 'Tá Lam 11' (my legendary 11-piece woodwind/accordion project with a 'rhythm section' of 4 bassclarinets).
The 2011 CD 'MIngus !' was voted 5 stars and one of the best of the year by Downbeat editor John Ephland.

- the 'Clarinet Trio' (Jürgen Kupke cl, Michael Thieke acl, myself bcl) the 4th CD was released on Leo Records in 2012.
By many considered one of the leading woodwind ensembles worldwide. Working since 1998.

- 'Gulf of Berlin' a new free improvising quartet from Berlin with Gerhard Gschlössl (tb, sousaphon) Gebhard Ullmann (ts, bcl) Johannes Fink (bass) and Jan Leipnitz (drums).

- Duo with singer Almut Kühne and myself playing woodwinds plus Live Electronics.

INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

- the French / German 'Double Trio de Clarinettes'. The Clarinet Trio with the French Trio de Clarinettes (Jean Marc Foltz, Sylvain Kassap, Armand Angster).
The Clarinet family from contrabass- to Eb clarinet. First CD on Between The Lines in 2013

- 'Basement Research' (Julian Argüelles (bs) Steve Swell (tb) Gebhard Ullmann( ts, bcl) Pascal Niggenkemper (b) Gerald Cleaver (dr) 20th anniversary in 2013.
Originally initiated in collaboration with Italian jazz promoter legend Giovanni Bonandrini. 6 CD releases.

NEW YORK PROJECTS

- 'Conference Call' (Gebhard Ullmann (ts, bcl) Michael Stevens (p) Joe Fonda (b) George Schuller (dr).
about 20 tours worldwide since 1998. 7 CD releases on Soul Note, Leo Records, NotTwo Records and Clean Feed. One of the leading units of contemporary jazz according to many critics.
