The Jive Aces new album, “King of the Swingers” – A Salute to Louis Prima” will be released in the UK on 3rd December and is already available to pre-order on Amazon.co.uk. It will also be available for download from itunes on 2nd December.
The album is a tribute to the great Louis Prima, whose timeless mix of New Orleans Jazz, Swing and R&B has long been a major influence on The Jive Aces. It features some of the band’s most popular (previously unrecorded) live songs and some fabulous new ones, including:
• “I Wanna Be Like You” – The Aces’ version of the “Jungle Book” classic, described as “Absolutely Brilliant” by Simon Cowell on “Britain’s Got Talent”
• “Bring Me Sunshine” – The song behind the viral video which now has over two million views on Youtube. Recently played by Aled Jones on Radio2.
• “Sing, Sing, Sing” – The band’s much requested, show-stopping, live version of the swing era anthem.

The album features an amazing line up of guest performers from both sides of the Atlantic including: British jazz legend Kenny Ball; Louis Prima & Keely Smith’s daughter Toni Elizabeth Prima; giant of jive Ray Gelato and “Holby City”/”Emmerdale” star Rebecca Grant.
And right after the album release the band starts a run of Christmas shows at the Matcham Room, in the beautifully restored London Hippodrome. After an initial show on 28 Oct, the band will be playing lunchtime and evening shows from 12th-18th December (not 16th) in London’s hottest new venue.
