«He's just a very accomplished musician who knows everything there is to know about orchestrating (…) On the Questlove Afropicks project I loved his arrangements (…), sounds that Iʼd never heard before. So I wanted that on my new album. Whenever I do horns now, I'm going to send them his way» Macy Gray talking about David Murray in THE NEW YORK TIMES
"The wonderful voice of Macy Gray will sing the blues, a way to link generations and history" JAZZ NEWS
Following their work within the musical project Questlove Afro-Picks (including Tony Allen, Questlove from The Roots, Amp Fiddler...) in collaboration with Red Bull Music Academy, the idea of a the Big Band takes the shape of a transversal journey through the universe of a unique ‘pop’ & soul artist, Macy Gray, upgraded with the sonic sense of Jazz artist David Murray. The Stomping and Singin’ The Blues Project offers a crossing bridge between several essentials musical sources. It starts from the roots of all: the Blues (Let’s Talk About Jesus, Dead Presidents), link up afterwards with Pop & Soul music (Macy Gray’s songs), and ends enclosed under the contemporary perspective of Jazz music (Dreams, Stressology, Interview Suite). Wrapped by the presence of the Big Band (15 musicians), this new repertory is brought to another level.

New album - To be release in 2013
Detroit based Amp Fiddler is a celebrated soul/funk musician who has shared stages and studios with everyone from PRINCE and GEORGE CLINTON to PRIMAL SCREAM and underground Detroit producer MOODYMAN. Amp Fiddler also played a pivotal role in bringing SLUM VILLAGE to global attention, and was a friend and collaborator with their producer, the late J-DILLA. His warm, expansive mellifluous music takes stylistic cues from all these encounters, but emerges as earthy, supremely relaxed, and rooted in the funk and soul that Amp feels most connected to. And, as he suggests, it is music for the head as much as food for the heart and soul.

"A unique voice" 20 MINUTE
"One of the best Jazz singer" LE FIGARO
Born in Paris of an Ivory Coast father and a Moroccan-Spanish mother, Laïka was raised mainly by women (her grandmother, mother, and aunt) in a Moroccan Jewish family. She leans towards her maternal Sephardic culture, open to different styles of music in the Mediterranean. It shouldn't be surprising that Jazz – which finds its universality in the fact of being an adopted language and culture – should have constituted the natural horizon of her curious personality, willing to take a strong stand...

Malian vocalist Mamani Keita has been touching hearts and minds in both Africa and Europe since the release of the universally applauded 2002 album, Electric Bamako, a collaboration with French musician Marc Minelli. The record saw the singer lend her powerful, graceful tone to skillfully constructed electronic beats. Since that time Keita, who worked with the Malian theatre company Oulofobougou in the early stage of her career, has gone on to fulfill her enormous artistic potential.

New album (Universal Jazz) - To be release in 2013
"A vibrant jazz, rock, soul, hip hop album, expresses an african culture, source of all music types"LIBERATION
"A perfect control of polyrythmics (and) a funky groove vibe" LES INROCKS
Malian colossus Cheick Tidiane Seck is one of the most charismatic and resolutely individual artists to have ever emerged from Africa. He willfully defies categorization. He is his own genre of music. A former bandmate of Salif Keita and Mory Kante, with whom he worked in the legendary Rail Band Of Bamoko, Seck has played with a dazzling array of artists drawn from jazz, soul, rock and all points in between: Hank Jones, Ornette Coleman, Living Colour and Marque Gilmore’s Drum FM, to name but a few. However, it is his solo works that are essential documents of the sumptuous beauty that can be created when the deep river of African music flows into its many tributaries in the Black Diaspora. Mandingroove, Sarala and Sabaly are all works that are undoubtedly destined for classic status.

New album 'The Endless Summer' - To be released on November 5th
Recently founded on the still-burning ashes of the great and unique punk-joy band Rigolus, The Endless Summer remains as intense and sonic as a hypnotic journey. Their ’pop’ program is quite ambitious: unleashing the sound to create a shifting and swirling sound material - the whole applied to their proper and original idea of ’free-dance-floor’. The Endless Summer is a result of these rare and explosive energies, that must be obviously seen live. Their new album ’The Endless Summer’ will be released November 5, 2012.
