CLYDE WRIGHT

Legend of the Golden Gate Quartet

It is with great pleasure that we announce the availability of the legendary Clyde Wright for your upcoming shows and festivals for the period: autumn 2012-2013.

Soloist with the Original Golden Gate Quartet for 50 years, Clyde Wright aka Mister Swing performed in the world's largest and most prestigious stages in more than 50 countries. Sung with many great artists such as Elvis Presley, Mahalia Jackson, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Line Renaud, he became the godfather of gospel and negro-spiritual music worldwide.

Recipient of the "Ordre des Arts et des Lettres" by the French Minister of Culture and recently inducted with the Golden Gate Quartet to the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame, he was invited to sing at the inauguration of president Obama in January 2009. The performance was broadcasted live from Paris to Washington via the CNN tv channel.

Thanks to his incredible sense of melody, his joyful and humorous arrangements and his capacity to sing gospel like nobody else, Clyde Wright and his Quartet promise an unforgettable performance.

So this year, don't miss out on Clyde Wright and his Quartet !!
