BaianaSystem is experiencing a new sound system with the interaction of the Baianan guitar and rhythmic basses.This original instrument's history is closely linked to the Bahia's Salvador Carnaval. During the 1940s the Baianan guitar came to steal the show to the percussions with its famous "Trios electricos". BaianaSystem's new album, soon to be released in Europe has been widely accepted by the general public and the media all around the world, particularly during the Womex Showcase festival held in Copenhagen last October 2011.
The Brazilian creative DJ Chico Correa gives a new face to the Baianan scene while the singer takes you on a ride in his city with his lyrics and puts into music the color and rhythm of everyday life.

Roda de Samba is traditionnally a musicians' gathering around a table to celebrate with music. At the core of the programme: Samba de raiz (root's samba) and "partido alto". But most of all, the public is taking part to dance, clap hands and sing in chorus the refrains. This is in such warm atmosphere that Casuarina gives the show. Their unique style has ranged them among the best samba bands.
