Pablo Hernández, from Spain, and Sinouj

EJN Administrator | Musicians proposals | 2012-05-03

Pablo Hernández, from Spain, and

Sinouj, the Afromediterranean project (Spain-Tunisia-Nigeria-Italy).

We're looking for an agency in Europe

sijouj

Sinouj  is an Afro-Mediterranean band that bases its music on Magreb and Middle Eastern traditions mixed with contemporary jazz, funk, as well as West African Music.
Sinouj therefore integrates such elements as Arabic rhythms and modes into a modern vision of jazz and funk music with an electronic tinge. Sinouj’s sound is characterized by its unique combination of oriental violin and sax propelled by an unstoppable African rhythm section. Sinouj is also working with one of the most known flamenco singers in Spain, el Guadiana, who reminds us the proximity of Spanish and Arab music. Sinouj has perfomed that far in world music & jazz festivals in Algeria, Tunisia, Cuba, Spain, France, Portugal and Belgium, and with artists like Jorge Pardo, Aka  Moon, Sylvain Cathalà or Radio Tarifa.
