Music and More New Releases...
DelMontis presents: Straightforward Fascination
 Finally: DelMontis’ first album 'Straightforward Fascination' is finished and due to be released on the september 9th (ZenneZ Records). DelMontis is a balanced combination of sophisticated fat grooves, transparent songs and musical freedom. A fascinating mix of songs by Frank Montis and the horns by of Rolf Delfos are extended by first class musicians. The title track of the album features the British soul singer Laura Vane, who recently recorded a second album ‘ Sugarfix ‘ with The Vipertones. The album will be available in The Netherlands on 09/09/11 and via www.delmontis.nl . Just a little later it will be available all over the globe. The digital release will be on the 12th of September (Itunes, Spotify etc). The band is also worth checking out live. See the calendar for dates.
New Soul Snatchers album coming up
 You might have thought otherwise but no, The Soul Snatchers are still alive and kickin'. It's been quiet for some time but the Soul Snatchers have not been sitting still! Over the past years they did work on other projects as well and released albums with acts like Tommy Tornado, Laura Vane & The Vipertones, The Jazzinvaders, The Spinshots and DelMontis but… they always kept producing new material.
Last 'summer' they did some recordings and Phil Martin is finishing up the latest mixes as we speak. The album will contain tracks featuring soulsinger Curtis T. and Dutch funk legend Jimi Bellmartin once more. It goes without saying that there will be some new instrumentals which will hopefully turn out to be classics over time, just like some on their first album. The album is scheduled for early 2012 and the Snatchers are getting ready for new gigs and finishing up their new live show.

 OCOBAR is a music-collective based in The Netherlands. It consists of Cok van Vuuren on many guitars and strings, Rob Wijtman on the drums and percussion and finally his brother Bart Wijtman on the bass and keys. Some of the finest Dutch musicians and famous for their work with artists in theaters like Freek de Jonge, Frank Lammers, Wilfried de Jong and Ricky Koole. During the past couple of years the band have had a weekly television spot as backing-band for one of the best sports programs on Dutch Television: VPRO's 'Holland Sport' with Wilfried de Jong and now they're ready for festivals and venues all over the globe. Jaffa getting ready
 The new Jaffa album ‘Echoes’ has now seen its world wide release and is receiving some good reviews quote: “Christel Meijer's vocals are indeed exceedingly pleasant and seamlessly integrate into the various musical facets which Jaffa presents on this album”.
To promote the album Jaffa launched an introduction video, some live footage of their performance on 3FMand a brand new clip for their single 'Stay Out Here'. Over the past few weeks Jaffa performed with great success at The Jazz Rally Dusseldorf and one of the biggest outdoor festivals in The Netherlands: XNoizz Festival. New slot for Licks & Brains
 Licks & Brains is about to record a new album (once more). This time with guest vocalists like Frank Montisand British Soul Singer Laura Vane amongs others. Not only will their songs be recorded with (and goes without saying) special bigband arrangements, they'll also be performing live with these artists.
The band was offered a regular slot at 'De Burcht' in Leiden, every first Thursday of the month. The kick off for this series will be Thursday September 1st with Frank Montis. On October 6th they'll have Laura Vane over to sing along to this great band.
Great Eyeballs about to release second album
 Maybe you've missed it but there's a great new band with some of the heaviest cats around in the Dutch Jazz scene. Earlier this year they presented their first album and they didn't lack inspiration. As a resultGreat Eyeballs is currently in the studio recording their 2nd album already. Official new video Sugar Fix
 So there it is, a brand new official 'Sugar Fix' video. Over the past few weeks the band did some serious working on a video and they're pretty happy with the result. Of course the video is out there to promote their just released album 'Sugar Fix' but there's more to come: Next October Laura and her Vipertones will release a brand new EP: 'Some More Ear Candy'. New release by The Jazzinvaders coming up
 Lately The Jazzinvaders had some very succesful gigs at Jazzahead fair, Burghausen Jazz festival and some club gigs in Germany and Austria. Over the past few weeks they also played some major Jazz festivals in the Netherlands like 'Jazz in Duketown' and 'The Hague Jazz' amongst others.
Meanwhile the band was preparing a remix album of their latest album '3'. The release of this killer called 'El3ctric' is scheduled for September 2011.
Marnix Busstra's Sync Dreams Live
 After the international success of the Mike Mainieri & Marnix Busstra Quartet, Marnix was inspired to follow up this great musical trip. With his new group ' Marnix Busstras Sync Dreams' accompanied by Rembrandt Frerichs on piano, Arnold Dooyeweerd on the double bass and the always inspiring Pieter Bast he succeeds very well.
