The last couple of months have been somewhat frantic, with the Jive Aces already busy schedule supplemented by some high-profile last-minute bookings. Probably the most notable were Christmas Eve and Day bookings at the famous Gazarte club, in Athens - one of Greece's top live music venues (pictured left with special guests Rebecca Grant and Toni Socci). It was the band's first appearance in Athens for some years and the shows were a big hit.

Prestigious events

A recent highlight was the Grand Order of Water Rats (GOWR) Annual Ball where the Jive Aces entertained hundreds of celebrities and industry people as part of a star-studded evening's cabaret alongside Tony Christie and Joe Pasquale.

Equally prestigious was the Society Of Distinguished Songwriters (SODS) Ladies Night. The Jive Aces were booked by multi-platinum songwriter Guy Chambers, co-writer of Robbie Williams' biggest hits. They performed for the cream of British songwriters, including Brian May (pictured right), Tony Hatch, Martin Kemp and Don Black. And the legendary Rolf Harris joined the boys for a couple of songs and brought the house down.

This is the third time that the Jive Aces have been booked at each of these highly prestigious events and they have already been re-booked for next years GOWR Ball, an indication of the regard that the band is held in by some of the top people in the business.

On Air

This month marks the first anniversary of the Jive Aces weekly residency BBC Radio London's Late Night show with Jo Good (94.9fm). The Jive Aces are on air every Wednesday night 10-11pm and the show goes out to the whole of the Greater London area and as well as being listened to online around the world.

Big Jive All-Dayer No.3

The Jive Aces third Big Jive all-dayer, at the famous Lakeside Country Club in Surrey, is coming up soon on Sat 26th February.

The event, starring the Jive Aces, goes from 1pm – 1am and features 4 great bands, 3 DJ’s plus special guests, retro stalls, huge dancefloor, revolving stage, on-site restaurants and hotels and free parking.

Lakeside has long been England's top Cabaret club and has featured such legends as Sammy Davis Jnr and is also famous as the home of the World Darts Championship.
