Intrducing the New Jan Verwey Quartet

   the New Jan Verwey Quartet. 

After several years of performing theme concerts as:

“the Miles Davis Project” and “Jan Verwey plays Thelonious Monk”,

wich are still available on CD.

I am pleased to announce that I’ll be working with a new quartet now. 

The line-up is:                            

Jan Verwey –    chromatic harmonica (nl)

Jens Larsen –      guitar (dk)

Uli Glaszmann – double-bass (d)

René Winter –    drums (nl) 

Apart from playing a mixture of jazz-standards the bandmembers has

always in mind to play their own compositions as well. 

This summer in Canada there was a warm and enthusiastic reaction to bebop on harmonica when I played at Jazz Festivals in Calgary and especially in Medicine Hat at the Esplanada Theatre where I was treated to a 12 minute standing ovation, by an audience of 600. 

Get to know jazz on harmonica and the talented musicians around me.

With this group we like to make a CD recording on location, once.

Enclosed are a demo CD and biographies of the musicians.

Perhaps we will see you at your Jazzclub or Festival.
