Renowned trumpeter Raynald Colom, along with his musicians Chiquelo and Rosario Guerrero “La Tremendita” among others, presents Evocation, his last work.
It’s all about impacting the flamenco’s world from a personal view, the view of Raynald Colom, to unearth all those music’s that made him evolve and become universal. To find those roots that link him to the Sefardite music, to that of Al-Andalus, to the north African, to the afrocuban, to jazz among others. A recollection, half way between the imagination and the memory.

SOFIA REI KOUTSOVITIS - Sube Azul (new release June 2009 - World Village)
Praised by legendary Curtis Fuller as “one of the singers most memorable that I have ever heard. A superlative and original composer”, this artist born in Buenos Aires and living in New York, today has become one of the most versatile and applauded singers in New York scene.
Singer and compositor Sofia Rei Koutsovitis leads this new generation of artists from South America where they present touching melodies, intrincate orquestrations and folkloric textures in a mix or rhythms from South America and harmonies coming from last Jazz influences. That’s why musicians like Maria Schneider, Lionel Loueke, Bobby Mc Ferrin o John Scofield made her part of their projects. Sofia makes us enjoy with concerts full of feelings and good vibrations following the rhythm of her own lyrics and compositions or with other’s materials, like Silvio Rodriguez or Pavel Urkiza. Her debut album Ojaláwas chosen as one of the 10 best works by the U.S. Jazz Journalist Association. During this tour presents, live, her second album titled Sube Azul(World Village-Harmonia Mundi).

RAÜL REVERTER – TROP’S IN JAZZ(new release June 2009 – ADLIB arts)

Raül Reverter reappears with this Trop’s in Jazz where he presents his last compositions, developed recently, after a period of introspection and a long experimentation period with theories and composition methods from Josef Mathias Hauer (1883-1959).
Raül Reverter is able to link, using the most frenetic dynamism of hard-bop, elements of the jazz language with concepts from the vanguard music of 20th century, freely moving among colorful tones painted by his trio, lead by extraordinary guitarist Jordi Farrés.

Since Algunos momentos buenos album appeared, introduced during last Festival Internacional de Jazz de Barcelona 2009 edition, Martí Serra Trio, has become one of the trios most prestigious and reference for the Jazz trends in our country.
Applauded by the critics as “the best saxophonist, not only of Catalonia but of the whole Spain” (J.C. Abelenda), and later on awarded as the Mejor Nueva Propuesta 2009, by popular voting during Jaç-Enderrock prizes, Martí Serra endeavors this new stage, the most personal, with the firm intention to consolidate this trio, where music, colours and the quest for new structures, be always in continuous evolution.
