A jobless jazz musician in the middle of a universe of jazz festivals and busy

 

I'm a jazz musician, a bass player-composer living in Paris, I'm wondering if you could advice me about how getting my band working around in Europe. I have no agency; I have recorded an album but have no label, no distribution, nothing; I only have my music and my musicians, but can't get gigs because I have no agency, and can not get and agency because I have no gigs... So I'm getting crazy! The only thing I have to show is a myspace (here: www.myspace.com/xpadilla), and lot's of good music and good musicians ready to play with me... if I find gigs...

 

Your website... is amazing, but more amazing is to see all this huge jazz network you have put together and simultaneously find myself being so marginal, so workless!!

 

Please listen to the quality of my bass playing and give some advice, some clues and maybe help me too getting to play with some people or bands that are already "in", I'll appreciate it.
