The Jive Aces New & Gigs

Hi there,

The pace hasn’t let up any over the past couple of weeks.

After coming back from another sell-out at the Edinburgh Fringe, the Jive Aces ended August with a knock out performance at the Twinwood Festival to 4000 people; then over to Ireland for the Big River Festival in Belfast; back next day for the Sandwich Festival in Kent; two days at Bude Jazz Festival; an evening at our favourite London venue - The Pigalle Club; the beautiful Bibi’s in Leeds; Gala Theatre in Durham; Rolls Royce Club in Derby; Savoy Hotel in Blackpool and then through the night to London and straight on a plane to Washington DC to start our latest US tour.

For many of our August shows we were proud to feature the incredible Keely Smith and Toni Prima who had such a good time performing at Summertime Swing that they extended their stay and traveled with us around the UK and Europe.

There’s one other show that warrants a special mention – on Friday 5th September we played at an event for The Variety Club of Great Britain at the Ramada Hotel in Manchester. On arrival we found out that the entire evening was in the band's honour and as we finished the first set Steve Garner of BBC Radio came onstage and presented a special award to The Jive Aces for their “contribution to entertainment and charity”. It was an amazing evening and it was an honour to receive the award and perform to the audience which included many fellow entertainers such as Jimmy Cricket (who also performed), Billy Pierce and stars of Coronation Street.

The updated schedule is below. I was looking at a US tour for the first couple of weeks in December, but this is now not going ahead, which means I currently have good availability 1-14th December A perfect opportunity to book the Jive Aces for your Christmas event!
