Here’s another lovely initiative from friendly neighborhood collective “Le Grand Chahut,” in which the Apollo Trio has the pleasure of participating. For the very first “Petits chahuts itinénerants” Festival, Le Grand Chahut wanted to pay special attention to smaller musical forms that are lesser-known or constantly changing. On the menu- long-term musical rebels from opposition rock to imaginary folklore, all playing to the tune of their utopias. From voluble to fantastic to dark to warm, from the tuttis to the silences, the Apollo Trio is like acapella music. Their subtly arranged melodies, their counterpoints and their canons open the playing field to games of improvisation and styles that hit hard thanks to the clarity of their intentions and the force of their expressions.
