Trombonist
Josh Roseman (b. 1969) grew up in Massachussetts and
attended the New England Conservatory in Boston.
A New Yorker since 1989, Roseman has been heard live and on
Record with artists ranging from "Progressive Party
Artists" like Me'shell N'dege Ocello, Medeski Martin &
Wood, The Roots, The Skatalites, Cibo Matto, and the Groove
Collective to the creative ensemble of Don Byron, Steve Coleman, Dave Douglas, Muhal Richard Abrams, The Jazz Passengers,
Lester Bowie's NY Organ Ensemble and David Murray.
Roseman leads a quintet called Xenophelia, which performs
regularly in New York and has recently recorded a debut CD
tentatively titled Immolation/Not a Hoochie.
