Daniele
Di Bonaventura was born in Fermo, Italy and began his
music studies at the age of eight. First he studied piano
and composition, and later the bandoneon.
As a pianist, a highlight
was his participation in the Jazz Festival of Roccella Jonica, in
the New Talents Band, directed by Oliver Lake in '87 and by David Murray in '88.
He has published several of
his compositions for the Tirreno Publishing House.
With his bandoneon, he was
one of the finalists in the International Contest for
Musical Youth of Italy in 1996 with the Felure Quintet which he
himself formed in '94.
Currently, besides working
with the percussionist Alfredo Laviano, with whom he produced a CD entitled
Improvisation, he is working with Enzo Favata, among other
Italian musicians, who asked him to substitute Dino Saluzzi.
