Bassist Leo Traversa studied at the Berklee College in Boston and at A.A.S. Five Town College in New York. His extensive knowledge of a variety of musical genres and cultures and his mastery of their playing techniques make him one of the most versatile bassists in New York. He has performed and/or recorded with Tania Maria, Ben E. King, Toninho Horta, Astrud Gilberto, Gerry Mulligan, Kenia, Herbie Mann, Claudio Roditi, John Lucien, Eliane Elias, Randy Brecker, Dave Kikoski and many others.
