Tampere Jazz Happening is renowned for its fresh and uncompromising programme and its friendly atmosphere. The internationally esteemed programme consists of modern jazz, improvised music, world music and rock-influenced jazz. Over the years the stages of the Old Customs House Hall and the Club have accommodated many of the top names in European and American jazz, from Ornette Coleman to Thomasz Stanko, and world music from Africa to India by the long route. The best jazz festival in Finland, every year - first weekend in November.
