Jazz & Muziek organises the 2 main jazz festivals in Belgium: Gent Jazz Festival (formerly known as Blue Note Records Festival) in Ghent and Jazz Middelheim (in order of Public Broadcast Services Belgium) in Antwerp.

Besides that Jazz & Muziek also co-organises (among others with Vooruit Arts Centre who are already a EJN member) a festival called Jazz & Sounds in Ghent. This new festival will focus on the versatility of contemporary music. Improvisation and creation are important mainstays of the Jazz & Sounds Festival combining the interaction from and to jazz, contemporary, classical, alternative rock, electronic music, improvised music, non-western music and more.

Educational activities are also an important cornerstone in all activities organised by Jazz & Muziek.
